An
All
Affirming Congregation is
one that welcomes Gays into all of the life of the local
church, and is gay-friendly, and believes one CAN
be Christian and Gay at the same time, since God
created all peoples including Gays.
We accept all people, no matter where on life's journey they are
at the moment. If you are seeking for truth and knowledge, and seeking
for a closer walk with God, come visit and grow with us.
We believe in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit
of God working in our hearts, souls, bodies,
minds, and in our lives to be more like Jesus. But that
process does NOT change our sexual
orientation any more then it changes our skin color
or gender. These are some things God will never do, nor
have any reason to change.
There are some Affirming Congregations in most
denominations today. You have to go to their local church website
to find more info.
This is opposed to
churches that are Transforming Congregations, which
means one can NOT be Christian and Gay, but they
welcome Gays that are seeking to transform into a "Straight"
lifestyle. We believe that view to be an utter impossibility, sinful,
and also un-Biblical, and against ALL modern scientific intelligence and
information.
Most churches are neither, that is, they ignore gay people
of faith, or else boot them out from their membership
and churches (which is very sad and very un-Christ-like).

The Rock
Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) a warm and friendly
GLBT/Affirming congregation seeks a half-time
pastor to serve 20 hours per week. We are a service oriented
congregation, seeking to grow numerically and spiritually. We are
evangelical in style, active in outreach, and have a deep commitment
to Jesus Christ. We seek a relevant preacher who is also an
empowering educator with strong skills in discipleship, stewardship,
and GLBT/A community involvement. This person will be
the spiritual and administrative leader as well as personnel
director. The Rock MCC’s mission is to Lead
people to Jesus Christ, Equip them with the tools to
grow spiritually and to celebrate Christian diversity, and

T he
Rock Metropolitan Community Church
is a GLBT/Affirming congregation
actively seeking a
part-time pastor to serve 20 hours per week
as the shepherd for our congregation. This person will assist
The Rock MCC in leading the people to Jesus Christ,
equipping the congregation with tools to grow spiritually and to
celebrate Christian diversity, and be able to send the people out to
serve Christ, the church, the community, and one another.
Responsibilities include: directing the ordering of all worship
services and usage of multimedia equipment, directing the rite of
attaining membership through membership classes, will be the
spiritual and administrative leader as well as personnel director.
The candidate sought will have excellent preaching, teaching, and
communication abilities as well as educated Biblical knowledge. The
candidate should be able to combine the spiritual feeling and
meaning with the written word to form usable meanings for living
